PBC Certified Coaches
At Pacific Bogey Club, coaching isn’t about fixing swings. It’s about building confidence, community, and character—through golf and beyond. PBC Certified Coaches are leaders we trust to guide our people with care, integrity, and heart.
You’ll find our coaches where our community gathers. At PBC meetups, events, and shared experiences, they show up alongside our members—offering guidance, answering questions, and hosting tune-up stations designed to help you learn, adjust, and grow in real time. These moments aren’t formal lessons; they’re opportunities to connect, ask, experiment, and feel supported in your game. It’s coaching woven into community—accessible, approachable, and built for progress, not pressure.
Coach KMOON, PGA
Coach Kevin Moon (KMOON) is known for helping players make sense of their game. He’s worked with junior golfers, competitive amateurs, and everyday players across all skill levels, earning a reputation for building solid fundamentals and steady confidence that show up when it actually counts—on the course, not just during a lesson.
Kevin’s coaching style is thoughtful, patient, and practical. He meets people exactly where they are and focuses on intentional practice, awareness, and understanding—not quick fixes or overwhelm. Players don’t leave just swinging better; they leave knowing why they’re working on something and how to take ownership of their improvement.
As a PBC Certified Coach, Kevin reflects what Pacific Bogey Club stands for at its core: real progress over perfection, learning that feels accessible, and coaching that respects the person behind the player.
We’re incredibly proud to have Kevin Moon as a PBC Certified Coach—valued for the way he brings clarity to the game and helps players build confidence through understanding, not pressure.
Coach Evan Johnsen, PGA
Evan Johnsen has dedicated his career to using golf as a vehicle for growth—on the course, in the classroom, and in life. As Vice President at First Tee Greater Seattle, Evan has played a pivotal role in shaping programs that reach thousands of young people, helping them build confidence, resilience, and character through the game. His work is rooted in the belief that golf is not just about performance, but about who you become along the way.
As a PBC Certified Coach, Evan embodies what Pacific Bogey Club stands for at its core: that belonging matters more than perfection, that access creates opportunity, and that golf should leave people better than it found them. His commitment to inclusion, education, and community aligns seamlessly with PBC’s mission to grow the game in ways that are human, welcoming, and deeply impactful.
It is an honor to have Evan as a trusted guide within our community—and grateful for the example he sets in showing how golf, when taught with heart, can change lives well beyond the course.
Coach Leslie Guzman, PGA Associate
As a PGA Professional, Leslie has built her career on more than instruction — she has built it on access, representation, and raising the standard for what leadership in golf can look like.
Her approach to coaching is grounded in clarity and care. She meets players where they are, without lowering the bar, and guides them toward measurable growth with discipline and belief. For Leslie, improvement isn’t rushed or performative — it’s intentional. Every lesson is an opportunity to build confidence that lasts far beyond the range.
As a PBC Certified Coach, Leslie represents the balance we value most: high standards and open doors. She embodies the idea that excellence should be accessible, that belonging strengthens performance, and that the most powerful coaching develops the whole person — not just the swing.
Leslie’s presence within Pacific Bogey Club reinforces our commitment to inclusive excellence — a culture where players of all backgrounds can grow, compete, and feel fully welcomed in the game.
It’s an honor to have Leslie as a leader within our coaching family, and we’re proud to build alongside someone who proves that when excellence meets opportunity, the entire community rises.
Caleb An, PBC Certified Coach
Hi, I’m Caleb An — a former D3 collegiate golfer at George Fox University with over 20 years of playing experience. I currently compete in amateur events and continue to grow my game. I love helping golfers of all skill levels enjoy the game and reach their goals.
My coaching philosophy is simple: there isn’t one “right” way to play golf. Every golfer moves differently, learns differently, and has different goals. Rather than trying to fit everyone into the same swing, I meet golfers where they are and help them build a game that works for them.
We’ll work on swing mechanics when they matter — but my focus goes beyond that. I want you to understand why the ball does what it does, how to make better decisions on the course, and how to practice with purpose. Golf isn’t just about building a better swing. It’s about learning the game.
I’m excited to join the Pacific Bogey Club coaching staff and help create an environment where golfers can learn, improve, and have fun along the way.
Andrew Black, PBC Certified Coach
Hi, my name is Andrew Black and I picked up golf in 2020. Since starting golf, I have played in various amateur tournaments, WA Am Qualifiers, WA Mid-Am tournament and continue to play on the Amateur Players Tour where in 2024 I won the North American Championship.
I have always wanted to bring what I have learned and my knowledge of golf into a more coach setting. Course management, swing mechanics, and chipping, with a simple philosophy: golf should be fun. Expect mini games that make practice engaging, plus a focus on building the mental toughness to stay positive under pressure — on the course and off.
