PBC Photography
All the things to note for our big day!
Hey Team!
I’m so grateful to have you join me in capturing a PBC experience. This event is about more than just golf — it’s about the people, the energy, and the little details that make Pacific Bogey Club feel different. Here’s how I’d love for us to approach the day...
Mix up horizontal + vertical, play with angles, and don’t be afraid to experiment. Talk to players, crack a joke, pull energy out of the moment — the more natural it feels, the better the shot.
Chase the unexpected. Capture the spark when someone drains a putt, the laughter between holes, the little details no one else would notice. Those are the moments that make this community what it is.
At the end of the day, you’re not just taking photos — you’re building the visual story of the West Coast Classic. You’re the ones who get to freeze the magic in time and make everyone who was here relive it (and everyone who wasn’t wish they had been).
Let’s make this event look every bit as epic as it feels. I trust you, I believe in your eye, and I can’t wait to see what you create.

Overall Approach
-
Think storytelling, not just photography. Every shot should help tell the story of the event: the competition, the laughs, the sponsors, and the community vibes.
-
We’ll divide and conquer so we’re covering all angles without stepping on each other’s toes.
-
Variety is key — action, candids, details, and social content.
Assignments
Photographer 1 – Tournament Action
-
You’re focused on the golf itself — tee shots, approaches, putts, reactions.
-
Rotate around featured holes (1, 9, 18) and float to find key groups.
-
Goal: Hero swings + authentic reactions.
Photographer 2 – Candids & Community
-
Your job is to capture the soul of the day. Players laughing, walking between holes, hanging out in carts.
-
Be roving, blend in with groups.
-
Goal: Document the spirit of connection and fun.
Photographer 3 – Details & Atmosphere
-
You’re covering the small things: merch displays, signage, sponsor logos, food/drink moments, raffle prizes.
-
These will be huge for sponsor recaps and PBC’s content library.
-
Goal: Highlight all the partners who make this day happen.
Photographer 4 – Behind-the-Scenes / Social Content
-
Think vertical format, reels, and stories. Short, raw clips that feel alive.
-
Capture pre-round hype, quick celebrations, and any “scroll-stopping” moments.
-
Goal: Feed the PBC socials with 10–15 strong clips + a handful of vertical stills.
Must-Have Shots
-
Check-in moments, practice swings, and group photos.
-
Big action: drives, chips, putts, fist pumps.
-
Candid crew vibes: laughing, waiting, joking, reading putts together.
-
Family and community moments.
-
Sponsor visibility: banners, merch, prize table.
-
Golden hour hero shots.
-
Closing ceremony: winners, group photo, prize handoffs.
Logistics
- Pre-round huddle: quick sync so everyone’s clear on roles.
- Midway check-in: touch base at the turn or over text.
- End of day: make sure we get winners + one big group shot.
- Afterwards: please drop everything into labeled folders (Action / Candids / Details / Social) within 48 hours.
Drone Coverage (if possible)
Pre-round:
Flyovers of the course + check-in area.
In-round:
Sweeping shots of featured holes, carts moving, groups teeing off.
Closing moments:
Aerial of the full group photo + celebration.
Notes: Stay clear of play, maintain safe height, and prioritize cinematic angles over long flight time.
